Kidnappers Reportedly Kill Man After Collecting N5M Ransom
A young man named Emmanuel Ume was allegedly killed by kidnappers despite his family paying them N5 million as a ransom for his release.
At the time of reporting this piece, details of the occurrence were vague, but it was gathered that the deceased was abducted on his way to Abuja.
Juliet Agu, a Facebook user and someone closed to the deceased verified the occurrence on Thursday, December 14, 2023, in a Facebook post.
“My heart goes out to the family of our dear friend and brother, Emma Ume. He was Kidnapped, 5million Ransom paid, yet He got Killed. The perpetrators of this evil will never go unpunished. May God protect his Children this Christmas season. Our Road is no longer safe to travel again. RIP SIR,” she wrote.
