Kidnappers of Nasarawa governor’s aide demand N20million, release of member

Special Adviser to the Nasarawa state Governor on Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development Mr John Mamman, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Sunday. The kidnappers have now demanded N20 million ransom.

They also demanded that their member who was arrested by security agents be released or Mamman would be killed.

Mamman was kidnapped on  Saturday in his Dari country home in  Kokona council of the state.

A family source said the kidnappers initially demanded N150 million ransom, but later beat it down to 20 million.

It was gathered that when the kidnappers were speaking with Mamman’s family on the phone, he was heard crying in the background.
