Kidnappers of CBN Governor’s wife paraded by police

The arrested suspect alleged to be the ones who abducted Margaret Emefiele, wife of the Central Bank of Nigeria,Godwin Emefiele, were earlier today, October 10, 2016, paraded by the police at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

According to Daily Trust, the suspects so far arrested, including two serving soldiers, were presented to the media during a suspects along with the sum of N15 million recovered from them.

Mrs. Emefiele was abducted by the gunmen along the Benin-Agbor Road on September 29, 2016, when the heavily gunmen attacked her vehicle, chased away her driver and took her to an unknown destination where they called her husband and made a ransom demand, vowing never to release the woman unless the ransom was paid.

She was however rescued some days later after the family had paid the hoodlums an unspecified amount of money.
