Kenny ‘Keke’ Ogungbe quits as MD of DAAR Communications

Kenny ‘Keke’ Ogungbe yesterday, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, announced that he was no longer the Managing Director of DAAR Communications.

The veteran media entrepreneur revealed this on his Twitter account. “THANK YOU TO GOD 4 TIME I SPENT AS MANAGING DIREC DAAR COMMS RADIO SERVICE. TODAY  IS MY SEND FORTH. LISTEN TO @RaypowerNetwork now” tweeted Kenny Ogungbe.

THANK GOD TO ALMIGHTY FOR THE SERVICES RENDERED AS MANAGING DIRECTOR DAAR COMMUNICATIONS PLC RAY POWER RADIO SERVICE. 2 DAY IS MY SEND FORTH” he further tweeted.

In 2012, Kenny Ogungbe was appointed as the Managing Director of DAAR Communications. The Kennis Music boss has always been closely associated with DAAR Communications throughout his career.

After furthering his education abroad, he was made the Assistant General Manager of Ray Power owned by DAAR Communications when it first came on the air.

In 1995 he was made General Manager of the trail blazing private radio station. He would continue his rise through the ranks in the organisation. He became the Group General Manager of DAAR Communications before he left in 2000.

He would later return in 2011 as a member of the Board of DAAR Communications Plc.

In September 2016, Kenny Ogungbe floated his own radio station Kennis 104.1 FM.

2face Idibia was once signed to Kenny Ogungbe’s label Kennis Music which was the number one record label in Nigeria from 1998-2007.
