Keke Palmer talks National Gaurd into taking a knee at protest

Black-American actress, Keke Palmer turned up for the nationwide protests with a passionate speech for the National Guard

The actress accused President Trump of fanning the embers of racism. She then urged the uniformed men to march with them.

In a powerful video shared online, Keke Palmer is seen speaking to members of the National Guard about racism and police brutality and why everyone needs to work together to end it. She told the troops how President Trump’s actions are further fueling the divide between protesters and authorities. She also condemned the “when the looting starts the shooting starts” threat Trump made.

The Akeelah and the Bee actress further encouraged the members of the National Guard to March with them on Tuesday, June 2.

“Stand together with the community, with society to stop, stop the governmental oppression.

“We need you. March with us, march beside us.”

The troops mentioned that they couldn’t leave their duty post but when it was suggested that they take a knee in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement, the uniformed men went on their knees.

The nationwide protests began after George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis officer, Derek Chauvin, who knelt on his neck for almost 9 minutes.
