Kano Hisbah apprehends five homosexual suspects

The Hisbah Board in Kano State has apprehended five men suspected of engaging in homosexuality at Sheka Barde in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano.

The Commander General of the Board, Dr Harun Ibn-Sina made the confirmation of the arrest in a statement issued in Kano on Monday.

It was signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board, Malam Lawal Ibrahim.

In accordance with him, the arrests were made subsequent to reports from residents of the area.

He said, “All the suspects confirmed to be above 20 years of age, were apprehended on July 11 during a special raid.”

The Commander-General was furious over the alleged actions of the youths.

Ibn-Sina expressed gratitude to community members and security shareholders for their cooperation and support in cracking down on corruption in the state.

He said the suspects would be charged to court.

The Commander-General called on youths to desist from unwholesome practices as they are leaders of tomorrow.
