JUST IN: Ex-INEC chairman Attahiru Jega loses mum
Hajiya Hauwa Kulu Muhammadu Jega mother of former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega is dead.
She died on Friday night in Abuja, following a brief illness.
The family has announced that funeral prayers will be held at the National Mosque in Abuja, today, Saturday at 1:30 pm. She will be laid to rest at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja, immediately after the prayers.
Hajiya Hauwa is survived by a large and accomplished family, including notable personalities such as Malam Mahmud Jega, a respected journalist and columnist, and Alhaji Abbas Jega, a former Executive Director of AMCON.
