Jurgen Klopp praises Arsenal for finally Avenging him

Jurgen Klopp has nothing but praises for Arsenal for finally avenging him after 2016 heartbreak.

Remember Jurgen Klopp’s first season at Liverpool where he lost 2 trophies; one to Manchester City, the other to Sevilla in the Europa League.

Liverpool fans won’t have forgotten, and certainly not Jurgen Klopp. The Liverpool manager did not waste time to shower praises on Arsenal for finally avenging him in their 6-0 mauling of Sevilla in their recent pre-season friendly game ahead of the season opener few days from now.

The Gunners took on the La Liga side that cost Klopp his very first trophy at Anfield in the Emirates Cup in which the German noticed their impressive performance and had nothing but praises for Arteta’s men.

Arsenal won with a 6-0 sliding win to lift the pre-season trophy on Saturday, the same day Jurgen Klopp’s men took on Manchester City in the prelude to the season opener in the Community Shield.

Even though he was given the vengeance he sought, Klopp admits the Gunners themselves are now real threats in the League, adding they will be one of the teams to beat going into the season.

Klopp reacted to the result saying:

“Arsenal, I saw the result but pretty impressive 6-0 or whatever against Sevilla I don’t think that ever happened to be honest.

“Chelsea will come or is there already, Tottenham improved a lot so it will be a tough, tough season.” Klopp added, in response to the many challenges that will come up in the Premier League going into the season.

“But we are here as well, we don’t want to rest on what we achieved or not achieved in the last years, we are ready for the new challenge and that’s all.” He said, acknowledging his own team also, noting Liverpool too weren’t done yet.
