Junior Pope: Adanma Luke stripped off her license by AMP

The Association of Movie Producers (AMP) has taken swift action in response to the tragic demise of actor Junior Pope and four others, announcing the immediate suspension of Adanma Luke, the producer of the forthcoming movie in which Junior Pope was set to feature.

Junior Pope met his untimely end on April 10 in a boat accident on the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state, while en route to a movie shoot.

His unexpected passing has shaken the entertainment industry, prompting AMP to launch a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In a statement released on Monday, AMP’s national president, Queen Blessing Ebigieson, revealed that a nine-man committee has been established to delve into the events leading up to Junior Pope’s tragic death, as well as the fatalities of the other individuals involved.

The AMP directive included the immediate suspension of Adanma Luke’s work responsibilities pending the submission and review of the investigative report. The association extended its condolences to the bereaved families affected by the boat mishap.

The statement emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting the need for cooperation and understanding as the investigation unfolds. AMP implored all stakeholders and the public to maintain composure during this challenging time for the filmmaking community.

“Following this tragic incident, AMP has set up a nine-man committee to investigate all activities that led to the death of these practitioners on the set of the movie, ‘Another Side of Life!’,” the statement read.

“Meanwhile, the producer, Adanma Luke, is hereby advised to suspend all work pending on the submission of the investigations report, and the final decision is taken.

“As we mourn our fellow filmmakers, we ask for calm from all sectors, stakeholders, and the public.”
