EARLY LIFE
Judith Chichi Okpara popularly known as Afro Candy was born on 12th July 1971 in Umuduruebo Ugiri-ike, Ikeduru Local government area of Imo State, Nigeria She is a movie producer, singer, actress, model, director, and pornographic actress.
EDUCATION
Afro Candy had her basic and secondary school education in Umuduruebo Ugiri-ike, Imo State, Nigeria. After her secondary school, she gained admission to the University where she studied and obtained an associate degree in Office Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

CAREER
She was recruited by King George Models, and was encouraged to pursue a career in explicit photo modelling and a career in the movie industry.

While with King George Models, she did commercials for Coca-Cola, Nixoderm, and Liberia GSM.

From there, she joined the Nollywood industry in the early 2000s when she had her debut major role in the 2004 hit movie, “Dangerous sisters”. In the Obi Obinali directed movie, she played the role of Susan. Her other roles include Nneoma, a village girl in End of the game, and Jezebel in Dwelling in Darkness and Sorrow. From there, her career knew no boundaries.

Although Afro Candy did not last long in the Nollywood industry, she had some major hit movies, some of which includes; Destructive Instinct, How Did I Get Here, Ordeal in Paradise, The Goose That Lays the Golden Eggs.

Afro Candy aside from movies ventured into the music industry and as a musician, some of her hit songs are, “Somebody Help Me”. It was briefly followed by her debut studio album, “Ikebe Na Moni”. Also in 2011, she released the single “Voodoo-Juju Woman”.
FAMILY
Candy joined her husband Bolton Elumelu Mazagwu in the United States in 2005. Together, the couple had two children. They later separated after two years of living together. But she is currently single and has not announced any partner yet.

PERSONAL LIFE
Candy said— “ I did not go into pornographic movies. I reiterate that I am not into pornography and it seems the press and Nigerians are really wishing I did,” she said. “I started doing regular movies with some sort of nudity or adult content but they kept saying porn and calling me a porn star.”

“I have cleared the air several times in my interviews but I don’t think you guys get it all. Do you call Hollywood movies that show HBO, pornographic? Do you call movies like Basic Instinct, Monster Ball,

Savages and so on, pornographic? I guess it’s because I’m a Nigerian, that’s why”, Afrocandy said.
ACHIEVEMENT
She released her first single “Somebody Help Me” in 2009 followed shortly after by “Ikebe Na Moni.” She is also the founder and CEO of Invisible Twins Productions.
