Jude Bellingham reacts to Liverpool’s win over Chelsea

In another reality, Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham would have been celebrating beating Chelsea with the Liverpool players at Wembley as opposed to being at the Spanish capital. However, as the current reality pales in relation to our imaginations, the England international is limited to reacting to the Reds’ victory on his Instagram page.

Sliding under the Liverpool captain’s Instagram post about the Reds’ triumph at Wembley, the Real Madrid star commented on Virgil van Dijk’s impact in the game in delivering the trophy to the Red half of Merseyside after 120-minutes of playing time.

Under, Van Dijk’s post following the Cup final triumph, Jude Bellingham, commented: “What a player.” while liking the post that featured the Liverpool captain with the Carabao Cup win.

Earlier in the Summer, Jude Bellingham was a consistent name mentioned in line with a move to Liverpool. However, as fate would have it, the Reds backed away when the La Liga giants swooped in to pay the release clause for Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

The decision not to compete with Real Madrid for Bellingham’s signature was one that met a lot of criticisms from the Liverpool fanbase, with the 2023 summer written off as a failure by many despite the eventual signing of Alexis Mac Alister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch.

But if anything from Jude Bellingham and some key Liverpool stars’ Instagram activities is something to go by, it is that the England international does have some soft spot for the Reds even if not spelt out.
