England international and Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham sees the law come in strong on him as UEFA makes its final decision following a controversial move against Slovakia in the round of 16. The former Borussia Dortmund star is also joined by Turkiye’s Merih Demiral.

After close reviews, UEFA revealed the disciplinary actions that would follow both Merih Demiral and Jude Bellingham for their controversial celebrations.

England’s midfield sensation, Jude Bellingham, has been handed a one-game ban for his “balls gesture” celebration. However, the suspension is suspended for a year, meaning Bellingham will be available for England’s crucial upcoming match against Switzerland. Alongside the suspended ban, Bellingham has been fined €30,000. If he repeats the offense within the year, he will serve the one-game suspension.

Demiral’s Two-Game Suspension

Turkey’s stalwart defender, Merih Demiral, faces a sterner punishment. UEFA has banned Demiral for two games, rendering him unavailable for the pivotal clash against the Netherlands. Should Turkey advance to the semi-finals, Demiral will also miss that match. The Turkish Football Federation has already lodged an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), seeking to overturn the ban.
