Jose Mourinho agrees 2-Year deal with Fenerbahce

Jose Mourinho has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract to become the new head coach of Turkish club Fenerbahce, according to Sky Sports’ Gianluca Di Marzio.
Mourinho, who has been without a managerial position since his departure from AS Roma in January, has been linked to various clubs and national teams, including opportunities in the Saudi Pro League. However, it appears that he has chosen to continue his illustrious career in Turkey.
Fenerbahce’s sporting director, Mario Branco, is credited with playing a pivotal role in securing Mourinho’s agreement. The official announcement from the club is expected later today.
The appointment comes as Fenerbahce looks to build on a strong season in which they finished second in the Turkish Super Lig, just three points behind their arch-rivals Galatasaray. Despite amassing 99 points and losing only one league game throughout the campaign, the club seeks to elevate its status by bringing in the experienced Mourinho.
Mourinho, 61, will reunite with former Roma striker Edin Dzeko at Fenerbahce. The club’s presidential elections are forthcoming, and both candidates had reportedly identified Mourinho as the ideal candidate to lead the team forward.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager has been vocal about his eagerness to return to the sidelines. In an interview with Fabrizio Romano in March, Mourinho expressed his readiness to dive back into management.
“I’m ready to start,” he stated. “One day after I left [Roma], I was ready to go. I feel strong, I feel good. I love the work. I’m really ready, but I don’t want to make the wrong choice.”
