Johnny Drille rehearses lyrics of Victor Uwaifo’s ‘joromi’ in viral video

Edo-born John Ighodaro better known as Johnny Drille was spotted trying to rehearse the lyrics of Late Sir Victor Uwaifo‘s song, Joromi.

In a video making the rounds, nephew to Late Victor Uwaifo, Peter de Rock was seen at the Edo Mega Youth Concert teaching Johnny Drille the lyrics of the song, Joromi which was released in 1965 by the late music veteran.

Johnny Drille and other Nigerian artistes like Waje, Teni were in attendance to thrill fans to an unforgettable experience at the concert on Saturday, November 13, 2021, in Benin City.

The concert, with the theme, ‘The Guitar Boy Lives On’, took place by 6 pm at the Prof. Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub, Benin City, as part of activities lined up for this year’s Alaghodaro Summit.

The concert was organized in honour of Sir Victor Uwaifo, who died in August 2021 at the age of 80 after a brief illness.
