John Wick Actor, Lance Reddick Dead At 60

Actor Lance Reddick, best known for his roles in “The Wire” and the “John Wick” franchise, has passed away at the age of 60.

According to TMZ, Reddick’s body was discovered at his Studio City home in California on the morning of March 17, 2023, at around 9:30 AM.

The cause of his death is currently unknown, but sources from law enforcement told TMZ that the actor’s passing seemed to be natural.

Lance Reddick was set to reprise his role as Charon in “John Wick: Chapter 4,” which is set to release in theaters next week.

He had over 100 acting credits to his name, with upcoming projects including the “White Men Can’t Jump” remake and “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” Reddick was also slated to play Charon once again in the upcoming “John Wick” spin-off, “Ballerina.”

Lance Reddick had been busy promoting “John Wick: Chapter 4” and had posted on social media just one day ago in honor of National Puppy Day. He was also scheduled to make an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” next week ahead of the movie’s release.

Reddick was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and studied classical music composition at the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music, where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree.

He then went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale in 1994. Reddick began his on-screen acting career in the 1990s, with his first appearances in episodes of “New York Undercover,” “Swift Justice,” and “The Nanny.” His first film role was playing Anton Le Farge in Alfonso Cuarón’s film.

The news of Reddick’s passing has shocked and saddened fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Many have taken to social media to express their condolences and share their memories of the talented actor.
