Joe Aribo pens emotional message to Rangers
He is notable for playing a part in Rangers’ successful season in the recently concluded season, and also for lining up in the Super Eagles side at the African Cup of Nations.
For Joe Aribo, it’s quite the emotional one as he confirms his exit from the Scottish club who he acknowledges played a key part to him becoming a better player.
“I hold @rangersfc very close to my heart as they gave me the opportunity to showcase my talent on a bigger stage.” He wrote in a lengthy tweet that reeks of pure emotions and marks how hard it is to say ‘goodbye’.
The Nigerian international has been linked with English Premier League club, Southampton, and though nothing is officially confirmed yet, the Rangers player chose to bade farewell to the fans.
With the goodbye already said, a notable announcement would be nothing more than formalities as the deal isn’t proving to be quite the tough one for both clubs involved.
Paper works are believed to have been signed, with his medicals already taken as Southampton aims at bringing Aribo to the Saint Mary’s on a £6 million deal.
For the Super Eagles talent, Aribo chose not to wait until either Rangers or Southampton made the deal official before releasing an open letter to the fans.
The player doesn’t forget the role the club played in making him the player he is seen at present as he didn’t fail to show his appreciation to the Blue side of Glasgow for developing him into a better player.
