JJC Skillz finally reacts to rumoured secret marriage

JJC Skillz, the Nigerian rapper and former spouse of actress Funke Akindele, has addressed the rumors regarding his alleged secret marriage after their divorce.

Reports on social media claimed that JJC Skillz had married a woman named Falilat Raji, a Kogi native, only nine months after ending his marriage to Akindele.

According to these reports, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in Kano, although images and videos of the occasion were not widely circulated due to the rapper’s reluctance to be photographed.

Despite this, a rare photo of JJC Skillz and his purported new wife eventually emerged online, supposedly taken by the rapper’s personal photographer.

When questioned about the news, JJC Skillz declined to confirm or deny any plans to remarry during a recent interview with a prominent media outlet, The Cable.

“If I decide to marry or choose which way I want to go, it will be a personal choice and I will not make it public”, he said.

The reports were seemingly validated by JJC Skillz’s son, Benito, who openly ridiculed his father for his decision to remarry.

According to sources, Benito, who is JJC Skillz’s child from his first marriage to Mella, publicly mocked his father’s choice to wed another woman and expressed sympathy for the new bride. While he did not offer an explanation for his sympathy, he made his sentiments clear.

Meanwhile, A former Vice Chancellor of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, Prof. Adekunle Oloyede, has been sentenced to five years imprisonment for committing a $1.2 million fraud.

Justice Aderemi Adegoroye of the Ondo State High Court in Akure sentenced the professor on all six counts of false pretences, stealing, and fraud, contrary to the anti-graft laws of the state.

The court heard that Oloyede fraudulently obtained the sum of $720,000 from Mike Ade Investment Limited for Duro Global Property, under the false pretence of constructing a 500-bed hostel for the university. He also obtained the sum of $250,000, $150,000, and $620,000 at different times, all under false pretences.

In the evidence before the court, several amounts running into millions of foreign currency were paid into the account linked to Oloyede and his cronies for the importation of panels for the construction of a hostel for the university students. Despite the payment for the panel and for the shipment of the materials from Australia to Ilara-Mokin in Ondo State, the former Vice Chancellor failed to execute the projects, leading to his arrest and prosecution for alleged fraud by the state government.
