Jay-Z refuses to show 'loyalty' to former friend Diddy

The boat may appear to be hosting both Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs on it, but the rap mogul is reportedly doing all he can to distance himself from Diddy.

Following Sean “Diddy” Combs’ well televised sex scandal, Jay-Z is now the latest name within the American celebrity rank being sued for an alleged rape scandal. However, insiders have revealed Jay-Z has chosen to leave Diddy in the dust to protect his own reputation.

Like Jay Z, Diddy’s legal battles stemmed from a storm of allegations, albeit one involving sex trafficking and racketeering.

The drama escalated when a civil lawsuit alleged Jay-Z and Diddy attacked a 13-year-old girl in 2000. While Jay-Z has vehemently denied the accusations and filed to dismiss the case, insiders claim he has no intention of being dragged down by Diddy’s controversies.

“Jay-Z would absolutely throw Diddy under the bus if that’s what it took to clear his name,” one source told DailyMail. “He has zero loyalty to Diddy. His only priority is keeping himself and his family safe.”

Jay-Z reportedly began cutting ties earlier this year after Diddy’s arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. A leaked video of Diddy allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie was said to be the final straw.

“Jay was appalled by the Cassie video,” the source added. “That’s when he made it clear that he and Diddy were never close friends.”

Despite Jay-Z’s legal maneuvers, Diddy allegedly sees a silver lining. Another insider revealed that the Bad Boy mogul views Jay-Z’s fight against the lawsuit as a potential boost for his own defense.

“Diddy knows Jay isn’t fighting for him, but any victory Jay achieves could indirectly help his case,” the insider explained.

As the lawsuit unfolds, one thing is clear: Jay-Z is steering his ship far away from Diddy’s sinking one. Whether this high-profile split benefits or hurts both parties remains to be seen.
