It’s time Rashford leaves for a better team—Ferdinand
In the recent stages of his career, Manchester United forward man, Marcus Rashford has faced a lot of criticism for his performances in the United team, to the point he has become quite the jest for fans.
The England international has received boos from his club’s fans and according to pundit and former West Ham player, Anton Ferdinand, he believes the time has reached for Rashford to hang up the boots on his Manchester United career.
Ferdinand states the time is right for the Manchester born player to move elsewhere and start his career afresh alongside better players.
The advice comes in response to the links to Ligue 1 club, Paris Saint-Germain who are said to be interested in signing the 24 year old from the club.
Ferdinand’s suggestion comes on the wave of the recent booing the player has received from the fans and the criticisms he has faced in the media amidst the toxic Manchester United environment.
“I’m going to look at it from a player’s point of view. It’s time for a fresh start. It’s time for new ideas in terms of new surroundings,” Ferdinand told talkSPORT.
“It’s been suggested he’s a fan favourite. A fan favourite doesn’t get booed the way he gets booed at times. I think, especially for him who’s from Manchester and plays for his boyhood club, to get booed by your own fans… I think it’s time to go.
“It’s time for him to go to another club, live another lifestyle and play with some better players.”
