AFCON Qualifiers: “It’s not over yet”, Libya to Nigeria
The Libya Football Federation (LFF) has vowed to take legal action against the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), claiming unfair treatment during their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier clash.
In a dramatic twist, Topnaija.ng understands that the Libyan side accused Nigeria of mistreating their delegation during the first leg in Uyo, where the Super Eagles secured a narrow 1-0 victory.
Tensions escalated further when Nigeria’s national team, upon arriving in Libya for the second leg, allegedly faced equally poor treatment.
This led to the Super Eagles pulling out of the crucial AFCON qualifier scheduled for Tuesday, citing unprofessional conduct by their Libyan hosts. As a result, the match will no longer take place, fueling further controversy between the two football federations.
