"It's more than you think" -- Reno Omokri slams Pastor Adeboye

“Don’t Palestinian lives matter too?” — Reno Omokri asks Pastor Adeboye in reaction to the Clergyman’s pro-Israeli video.

In a recent social media post, Reno Omokri, a prominent activist and author, expressed his concerns about a video in which Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, offered prayers for Israel during the conflict with the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip.

Reno Omokri questioned why the clergyman did not also pray for the Palestinians and voiced his opinion that this omission could deepen despair among Palestinian Christians.

In his social media message, Omokri stated,

“But, sir @PastorEAAdeboye, what about our brothers and sisters in Palestine? A greater percentage of Palestinians are Christians than the Israeli population.

“Half a million of them, to be precise. Doesn’t the Bible, in Galatians 6:10, ask us to first show love to members of the household of faith before others?

“Perhaps they may feel abandoned that your message did not even mention them. If I were a Palestinian and saw your message, I would sink into further despair.”

He also referenced a Bible verse, Acts 10:34, which states that God does not show partiality. Omokri questioned whether it was an oversight to pray exclusively for Israel and neglect Palestine.

He urged for a balanced approach, saying,

“Sir, I have been to Palestine. I will not wish their condition on my own enemy. They are God’s children, too.

“Don’t they deserve our love and prayers and every possible non-military support we can rouse to alleviate their tremendous human suffering?”

Reno Omokri’s comments come in the wake of the Israel-Palestine crisis that was aggravated by the recent attack by Hamas militant group on Israel, as well as a counter-attack by Israel that has affected both the Israelis and Palestinians.

The conflict as Reno Omokri puts it, is far from being black and white as many media narratives may put it. However, the general agreement is the condemnation of the innocent civilian lives that have perished on both sides as a result of territorial supremacy from both sides.
