It's high time we normalize Divorce -- Uche Maduagwu

People remain in bad and unhappy marriages they cannot walk out of — Uche Maduagwu.

Ever the controversial and opinionated celebrity, Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has come on social media to state his thoughts on ‘divorce’.

According to the actor, it has gotten to a point where marriage crashes should be celebrated than treated as a sad event that is mourned by both parties involved in the relationship.

Taking to his Instagram page, Uche Maduagwu notes that divorce shouldn’t always be a sign of failure, but rather a celebration of bravery and freedom to either parties involved in the celebration.

According to his September 8th post, Uche Maduawu states that quite often a lot of people remain in bad and unhappy marriages due to not having the bravery to exit the relationship.

Hence, the actor considers it worth a period of celebration for those who succeed in getting out of a marital union without any hassle.

His Instagram post is excerpted below;

“We need to normalize celebrating divorce and stop making it look like a funeral. Divorce is not a sign of failure, it is a celebration of bravery and Freedom.

“People who don’t celebrate their #Divorce Anniversaries are being ungrateful to God because so many people are still in Bad and unhappy #Marriages that they are unable to walk out of, so if you are lucky enough to walk out of a #Marriage that does not bring out the #BEST in you, please CELEBRATE, it takes a special GRACE from God to achieve that Freedom.”
