The Manchester United fandom are growing disillusioned with manager Erik ten Hag, including Gary Neville.

The former Manchester United captain Gary Neville after the Red Devils’ defeat to West Ham United, foresees a pivotal week for current manager Erik ten Hag, warning that another loss could spell the end for the Dutchman.

Speaking on his podcast after United’s crushing 2-1 defeat at West Ham, Neville suggested that Ten Hag’s future may hinge on the Red Devils’ upcoming clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

United’s season has been anything but smooth, with the latest defeat placing them at a dismal 14th in the Premier League table. The team managed just 11 points from their first nine games—a situation Neville described as “unbearable.”

“It’s all coming to a head,” Neville stated with grave concern. “Another defeat at home, and it could be curtains. The lack of goals, lack of performances—it’s stacking up, and the pressure on Ten Hag is reaching a boiling point.”

With Chelsea looming, many believe that the survival of Erik ten Hag depends on securing a decisive win. However, after a series of lackluster performances, even a familiar Old Trafford crowd might not be enough to quell the intensifying scrutiny.

Currently Manchester United sit 14th place after West Ham’s win dethroned them from their previous 13th spot on the Premier League table.
