Leaders of terrorist group ISWAP have paid visits to victims of military airstrikes at their den, following an intelligence-based coordinated attack on these terrorists.

It was gathered that the visit which took place on Monday was carried out by Amir Ibn-Umar, Muhammed Dan-Fulani, Amir Doctor and Malam Bashir.

This is coming a day after the Nigerian military attacked ISWAP and it’s collaborators carrying out logistics activities.

The insurgents were neutralised at Daban Masara in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State last Sunday.

Intelligence sources told PRNigeria that the airstrike coordinated by the Air Task Force Command resulted in the killing of more than 20 ISWAP collaborators delivering some logistics items to ISWAP terrorists.

Daban Masara is located deep in the North of Lake Chad forest, about two-hour drive to Kukawa town.

Speaking at the sympathy visit, Ibn-Umar said: “On behalf of Aba-Ibrahim the Wali, we are here to extend our sympathy to you over the sad incident that occurred on Sunday which led to the death of some of our own, as well as some fishermen.”

He blamed the attack terrorists feeding the Nigerian military with information on their activities.

Ibn-Umar warned them to be careful and make sure they always hide under trees to evade air raids launched by military jets.

A top military intelligence officer disclosed that the military authority in Abuja would soon issue a statement on the success of the operations on the Lake Chad axis with footage.
