Israel-Palestine conflict: Couple killed trying to hide babies

A tragic report emerges following Hamas’ attack on Israel last week from the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict as a young Israeli couple, Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky, aged 30, lost their lives defending their 10-month-old twin babies from Hamas terrorists who stormed their home.

The harrowing incident unfolded when the couple heard the sound of gunmen attempting to break down their front door.

Reacting swiftly, the terrified parents managed to save their twin infants from the same tragic fate by quickly hiding them in a concealed shelter within their home.

Israeli Ambassador to Colombia, Gali Dagan, revealed the heart-wrenching details of the incident.

Itay and Hadar displayed remarkable courage as they bravely confronted the gunmen in an effort to protect their family.

Unfortunately, their valiant efforts ended in tragedy as they were shot and killed during the assault. This attack on Israel has tragically claimed the lives of over 700 Israelis.

Thankfully, Israeli soldiers later discovered and rescued the two babies, who had been left alone for more than 12 hours following their parents’ heroic actions. Ambassador Dagan praised the couple as “heroes” who did “everything they could to save their children.”

Dagan took to Twitter to share the story, stating,

“They hid their 10-month-old twin children in the shelter while terrorists infiltrated their home. Itay and Hadar were brutally murdered after bravely fighting the terrorists.

“The babies were left alone for more than 12 hours until they were rescued. Imagine the horror.

“Two terrified parents doing everything they can to save their children, who are now orphaned. Blessed be the memory of these heroes.”

Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky are among the many victims of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which escalated when gunmen launched a surprise assault on Israel over the weekend.
