Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), will start the issuance of 10-year validity e-passport at the Ikoyi passport office on June 25, 2019, TOPNAIJA.NG reports.

A statement in Abuja on Thursday by the NIS spokesman, Sunday James, said: “The enhanced 10 year validity e-Passport will be rolled-out at the Ikoyi Passport office on Tuesday 25th June 2019.

“In view of the above, the Service plans to shut down the existing payment platform for Ikoyi Passport office to give way for the new one.

‘Hence, the Ikoyi Passport office will only attend to Passport applications for the enhanced e-Passport effective from the stated date.

“The public is to note that: All pending applications in Ikoyi will be processed before the roll-out date.

“Alausa and FESTAC Passport offices will continue to issue the existing e-Passport for applicants desirous of same.”
