"Imagine the many dreams crushed by Amaju Pinnick" -- Davido

“Imagine the many dreams crushed by Amaju Pinnick” — Davido does not mince words in his rant on former NFF Chief.

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Davido gets under the thick skin of former Nigerian Football Federation’s President Amaju Pinnick, in an online rant on Twitter.

The two personalities engaged in an online feud that according to Pinnick,  revolves around allegations that Davido failed to fulfill a performance commitment in Warri despite receiving a payment of $94,600.

The controversy began when a video surfaced on social media in which Amaju Pinnick accused the Afrobeat artist of not attending a scheduled show in Warri on October 6, 2023, despite receiving the payment and having his flight arranged.

Pinnick stated,

“We paid Davido $94,600 on the 6th of April. We paid $18,000 for his plane.”

Davido, a 30-year-old musician, responded to these allegations through a series of posts on his social media accounts, referring to Pinnick as someone who throws stones despite living in a glass house.

However, in a recent development, Davido took to his Instagram stories on Saturday night to make a new promise. He vowed to not only return the money but also double it for any football charity organization in Nigeria.

He further accused Amaju Pinnick of diverting funds meant for the organization to sustain a lavish lifestyle in the upscale area of Lagos known as Ikoyi.

Davido wrote,

“If I’m returning any money, I’ll return it to any football charity organization. In fact, I will double it. Mr. Dreams Crusher… imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because someone insists on living in Ikoyi by force.”

He also addressed the people of Warri, expressing their displeasure with Amaju Pinnick, and challenged Pinnick to confront him in person. Davido mentioned that he would be performing in Warri in December and dared anyone to try to stop him.
