I’ll re-employ sacked AAUA lecturers if elected, Akeredolu vows

APC governorship candidate in the Ondo election, Rotimi Akeredolu has revealed that he would reinstate the lecturers sacked from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), if he is elected.

Akeredolu made the promise over the weekend during a campaign rally at Akungba Akoko.

The lecturers were laid off for protesting against the management over non-payment of seven months salaries and allowances.

The APC candidate also said he would see to the establishment of a college of medicine.

“I want to assure you again that I remain committed to the development of Akungba land. The only way I can immortalize our father, Adefarati is to develop Akungba.

“By God’s  grace, if you vote for me and I am returned elected, I will establish AAUA College of Medicine. The lecturers sacked from our university for demanding for their legitimate rights shall be reinstated with all deserving benefits fully paid,” said Akeredolu.
