IGP, Usman Baba redeploys 24 AIGs to Zonal Commands

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, has ordered the redeployment of 24 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to Zonal Commands.

Those affected comprise AIG Zaki Ahmed, who was redeployed to the Special Protection Unit, Force Head office, Abuja; Mustapha Dandaura, AIG Zone 4 Makurdi; Dansuki Galadanchi, Counter-Terrorism Unit; Okon Ene, Zone 17, Akure; Usman Nagogo, Border patrol and Bala Ciroma, Zone 7, Abuja.

Also redeployed include AIG Adeleke Adeyinka, Zone 9, Umuahia; Muri Musa, Zone 13, Ukpo-Dunukofia; Lawal Tanko, Commandant, Police Academy, Kano; Usman Belel, FCID annex, Lagos and others.

This was contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Force spokesman, Frank Mba, entitled, ‘IGP orders posting/redeployment of AIGs.’

It read, “The IGP has assured the nation that the posting and redeployment of the senior police officers will further help in driving the new policing vision, which amongst other things, is targeted at improving policing services across the country and effectively responding to security threats in the country.

“The redeployment of the senior police officers is with immediate effect.”
