Idi Ebube – Sharon Smith-TopNaija.ng

Talented Nigerian Gospel song artist, Sharon Smith releases a brand new single titled, “Idi Ebube”, produced by M-Chords.

Speaking about the song Smith says, “Idi Ebube” is a song given to me by the Holy Spirit, it came in a local dialect (Igbo). I literally heard this song in my ears even when I didn’t understand the meaning of the song, first, it came in the chorus which is in Igbo and then the verse in English, I called a friend to tell me the meaning because I thought it didn’t rhyme, to my greatest surprise it did because the Holy Spirit never fails.”

“This is a song that talks about the greatness of God. It reminds us that the creator of heaven and earth is our Father and there’s nothing more we can do except to worship him in spirit and in truth.” – she concludes.

She offers this single as her third(3rd) body of work, with other singles, “Power in the name of Jesus” in 2018, and “I Need You” in 2020, all to her credit. Sharon Smith is a graduate of biochemistry from Madonna University and is also a co-pastor in GUSUM Church.

This new song is titled in the Igbo Language [a language spoken in the Eastern region of Nigeria] and is accompanied by a music video shot and directed by Ernest White.

Lyrics: Idi Ebube By Sharon Smith

Verse:

You are the Lord,
Let your name be glorified,
You are awesome,
May your name be lifted high.

In all the earth,
In all, you’ve done,
I will bless your name,
Mighty God, Mighty God.

That’s who you are,
Daddy, we’re singing to you.

Chorus:

Idi Ebube, Imarama,
Otito, Otito diri gi,
Who am I?
To stand before you.

Lord, I bow down,
And I worship you.

Verse:

You are the Lord,
Let your name be glorified,
Yes, you are awesome,
May your name be lifted high.

In all the earth,
In all, you’ve done,
I will bless your name,
Mighty God, Mighty God.

That’s who you are,
We’re singing.

Chorus:

Idi Ebube, Imarama,
Otito, Otito diri gi,
Who am I?
To stand before you.

Lord I bow down,
And I worship you.

Bridge:

Ho ho ho ho,
Ho ho ho ho,
Ho ho ho ho,
Ho ho ho ho ho ho.

Ho ho ho ho,
Ho ho ho ho,
Ho ho ho ho,
Ho ho ho ho ho ho.

Outro:

Who am I?
To stand before you,
Lord, I bow down,
And I worship you.

We worship you,
Mighty God,
