'I would have exited social media if not for...' – Nosa Rex

 Nigerian film and TV actor and film producer Nosa Rex Okunzuwa, known by his stage name Nosa Rex and also as Baba Rex stated on Tuesday that he would have left social media if not for the money he is making from the platform.

The actor, while lamenting the toxicity of social media, noted that aside from making money off social media, it also plays a vital role in alleviating depression.

Topnaija.ng reports that the actor said this in light of recent drama surrounding the marriage of popular Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja, who tied the knot with her lover, Ugo Nwoke, over the weekend.

This Nigeria’s top youth website recalls that the internet went agog after Sharon, who had hidden the face of her man from social media, unveiled him on the day of their traditional wedding.

While many were still gushing over how good her man looked, a blogger, Stella Dimokokorkus, made the shocking revelation that marrying Sharon makes it the fourth time Ugo was getting married.

Her revelation made netizens dig up pictures and other proofs from Ugo’s previous marriages.

Social media is toxic and harmful Says Nosa Rex

In a post shared on his Instagram account, the actor urged his fans and followers to safeguard their happiness, warning that social media is toxic and harmful.

He also advised against using fame to create enemies, as one could lose everything overnight.

In his words: “Truth be told. if no be money wey person dey make from social media. God know say I for don comot tey tey. Guys pls protect your happiness. This social media is toxic and demonic. As for me. I am here to hustle, catch cruise and talk kuntus and melelemele cos it cures depression and sadness. I just want to bring joy and laughter to my people through my craft.

“Do not use your fame to create enemies for yourself. Where we dey go still far. We fit wake up one morning everything don go. Watin I sabi self. Make I go work and mind my business.”
