I will play for Free if Man United wants me
I will play for free if Man United wants me, former Manchester United player, Javier Hernandez says regarding the situation at Old Trafford.
At a time when Man United are going through a lot of existential crisis on the forward line, with speculations over Ronaldo’s future, Anthony Martial out injured and Marcus Rashford not giving the numbers, Javier Hernandez provides a solution.
The former Manchester United striker has offered himself up for free should his former club consider an experienced forward to lead its line.
The statement comes in response to the Old Trafford side after the defeat to Brighton, reported to be on the lookout for a striker, with Marko Amautovic’s name popping out as a target.
Though latest reports have confirmed the club are no longer considering poaching the player off Bologna after facing criticisms from its fans and online backlash from the footballing world, Hernandez muses of a possible return to Old Trafford.
And according to him he is ready to play for free should United ever come calling.
Javier Hernandez in his time with Man United, lifted two Premier League titles during a five-year spell with the Red Devils.
With Cristiano Ronaldo rumored to be on the lookout for Champions League football, and United boss, Erik ten Hag searching for a new striker this summer, the club having a familiar and experienced face, ready to do it all for free may not hurt the club’s pockets.
Like it’s Bologna target, Marko Arnautovic, Hernandez is an experienced striker clocking 34 who currently plays for LA Galaxy in MLS.
The former Man United forward said:
“If United came for me then I’d say ‘yes, I’ll play for free.’ Of course, you know, I’d do that.
“But I also want to be very respectful to my club. I am playing very consistently and in my mind my conviction is all about winning a championship with LA Galaxy.
“In the future, if things happen then they happen – but in my mind I am 100 percent with LA,” Hernandez said.
