“I will have shivers” — Federico Chiesa on Liverpool
Liverpool have finally gotten the deal done as Italian forward Federico Chiesa joins the Reds on a 4-year deal from Serie A side, Juventus.
Chiesa would be taking on a very iconic number that many fans still have memories of; the no. 14 shirt previously worn by Jordan Henderson a certain Liverpool legend, Xabi Alonso who last season was widely rumored to be hired as the new Reds boss.
The Italian, following the confirmation of the move by Fabrizio Romano, made the switch to the premier league on an estimated €15m package that includes ad-ons; a deal analysts believe is fair play for Liverpool and the player.

Federico Chiesa in his first interview with the club, shared a lot of enthusiasm about playing for the Reds, telling Liverpoolfc.com that;
“I’m so happy to be a Liverpool player. When Richard Hughes called me and he said: do you want to join Liverpool? I said yes immediately because I know the history of this club, can’t wait.”
Judging from his interview, Liverpool fans seem to have a cheerful and passionate player within their ranks, with Federico Chiesa eager to have the Liverpool anthem on before his Anfield debut.
“And I just want to say something that stuck to my mind when I was about to land [in] the aeroplane. I saw Anfield and as soon as I saw Anfield I said to my wife, ‘Put the song on – You’ll Never Walk Alone – because I want to imagine myself playing there and hearing the chant of the fans.’ It was just a fun bit.”
That is nothing compared to hearing a full Anfield sing the song though, with the Italian expecting goosebumps ahead of the inevitable day.
“I will have shivers and it will be so emotional for me and for my family.”
