I will be Surprised if Chelsea sacks Tuchel—Roy Keane

Roy Keane doesn’t think Chelsea has the balls to sack Tuchel next season.

Chelsea for one is a club that does not show sentiments, whether it is for a manager or for a player that fails to live up to the expectation.

It was seen with how the club dealt with the Lukaku saga and how the club is making moves to sell off its uninspiring prospects at the club.

But for once in a while, the club does show a little bit of sentiment even if not on surface level.

It is why Roy Keane is hopeful over Thomas Tuchel future at the London club going into the German’s second full season at the club.

Roy Keane believes that the German won’t be given the sack despite the failure of the previous season or as the current preseason campaign is showing.

The current transfer window has been something that has left Chelsea fans on the edge for weeks especially after its moves for players were continually being hijacked by Barcelona or players plainly rejecting moves to Stamford Bridge.

It’s striker, Romelu Lukaku left on a temporary spell to Inter Milan with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso rumored to leave.

Tuchel’s first full season with the London blues saw the club emerge 3rd 19 points behind champions, Manchester City and 18 points behind runners up in the league, Liverpool.

Asked whether Chelsea could have a new manager by Christmas should a worse spell befall Chelsea, Keane told Sky Bet:

I will be Surprised if Chelsea sacks Tuchel—Roy Keane

“No, I don’t think so. There has obviously been loads of uncertainty over the club the last few months, that has been sorted out now obviously with the new ownership coming in.

“I’m pretty sure again he will be able to bring some players in. He is a top quality manager, he has dealt with a lot of issues over the last few months.

“Ultimately, it was a disappointing end to the season for them. But he is a top quality manager and I think the owners will back him. I’d be amazed if he is not there at Christmas.”
