I Went Into Politics To Correct The Systems Not Working — Banky W

Nigerian singer cum politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W has revealed the major reason why he decided to join politics.

Banky W who happens to have built a successful music career opened up on trying to change the system and make it work effectively.

Banky W now is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.

According to the music producer, Banky W, he joined politics as it was the only way to change systems that were not working, and also to make a difference beyond political activism.

He disclosed this during an interview with Arise TV’s The Morning Show.

Stirring up the misconception of politics amongst youths, Banky We said;

“We must engage with the system from where it is and fight for what we stand for and what we want to happen.”

The singer remarked that the longer the youths of the nation pay no activities for mainstream politics, the more the dysfunction would remain.

Speaking further, Banky W asserted that Apathy, that is not getting yourself involved in politics, is the real problem in fear of the power of godfathers, and the despised old order will remain.
