“I was once homeless, I slept under Ojuelegba bridge many times” – Oxlade recounts
Popular Nigerian singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, best known as Oxlade, has made a revelation about his past life that would surely leave many stunned.
The singer, who was invited to speak on the Afrobeats podcast, hosted by Adesope Olajide, the “Away” crooner, revealed how he slept under the bridge for some time after absconding from home to chase his music career.
The singer noted that his father, who was also a lecturer wasn’t in agreement with his career path in venturing into music, so he had to abscond and do several menial jobs to survive.
According to Oxlade, he had sold BRT bus tickets and slept at Ojuelegba barrack bridge sometimes.
In his words;
“Back then, I used to sleep at Ojuelegba barrack bridge sometimes. I did several menial jobs to survive. I was selling BRT tickets.”
