“I want you to suffer!” — Alexis Mac Allister tells brother

Football creates a lot of moments, brings people together and creates a lot of narratives, and for the Mac Allister brothers, it is all 3 of those as their respective teams are set to clash in the Europa League tonight at Anfield.

In a zoom call that was organized by the club for both brothers who are set to take on each other for a point or 3 in the group stages of the competition, Alexis Mac Allister promises his brother, Kevin Mac Allister not to expect any sentiment on field.

Liverpool play host to Belgian club, Union Saint-Gilloise of which Kevin Mac Allister plays for, and it will be quite the special moment for both brothers as they take on to the pitch together but on opposing sides.

Speaking via Liverpool’s official website, Alexis Mac Allister said to his brother;

“After the game, we can speak. But hopefully you don’t enjoy it, 

“I want you to suffer! And hopefully after the game you will not want to play against us again.

“I can tell you because I have been in Anfield as a Liverpool player and as an away player as well.

“I can tell you that as an away player, you will feel the stadium and the crowd.”

However, Kevin promised his brother to look forward to his tackle, and hopefully not enjoy it as much as he might think he would.
