"I tried to make him stay" -- Mohbad's Baby-mama breaks silence

Longtime girlfriend and baby mama of recently deceased Nigerian artiste, Mohbad has reacted to the confirmation of the musician’s death.

Mohbad who was 27-years old prior to his passing was confirmed dead on Tuesday, September 12th, leaving his fans and loved ones in shock and mourning.

Taking to Instagram to share her grief and memories, the late singer’s girlfriend, who goes by the username “c33,” expressed the unique and challenging journey of their love.

She revealed that they had faced numerous challenges and fought hard to be together. Despite their struggles, they had big plans for their future.

In her emotional post, she wrote,

“Our love story was a different one, we fought really hard to be here. Aaaah, I don’t wish this type of pain on anyone. We had so many plans, two responsibilities have now become one, you were my ride or die.”

She went on to describe her efforts to keep their relationship strong, saying,

“I tried my best to make you stay, Ikkerioluwa… aaaaah, I repeat I don’t wish this type of pain on anyone. You made pregnancy so easy for me.”

Expressing the depth of his love and commitment to her, she added,

“You don’t play no jokes when it comes to me; this is what you used to pay me back after 10 years of being with you, IIerioluwa joorr shanu mii. Liam is just five months today… where do I start from? Somebody should help me; I can’t do this alone.”

Mohbad, who passed away on that fateful Tuesday, was a talented artist and had received recognition for his work.

He was nominated for the “Best Street Hip-Hop Artiste” category at the recently concluded 16th Headies awards for his song ‘Peace.’
