I should have spoken to Sound Sultan Before his death – Burna Boy

Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy has expressed regret for not speaking with Sound Sultan before his demise.

The legendary singer, on the last track of his new album, ‘Love, Damini’ stated that he had regrets about not speaking to his late colleague, Sound Sultan before his demise.

Burna Boy also admitted that he needs to show more love to people around him while they are alive.

Excerpts from the song read: “I should have talked to grandaddy before it’s too late.

“I should have talked to Sound Sultan more before he died. I should show people more love while they are still alive.

“I should always know the way my people feel inside.

“I’m trying to be a better man, I’ve been trying, I got it all but I still got my anger.”

Sound Sultan, who became popular with his 2000 hit song ‘Jagbajantis’, was confirmed dead on July 11 after battling throat cancer.

The news of his death came as a shock to fans and well-meaning Nigerians.
