A customer of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Okpala Henry, has publicly accused the bank of failing to assist after money was allegedly stolen from his account, Topnaija.ng reports.

In a tweet, Henry expressed his frustration, stating that he regretted ever opening an account with UBA due to their lack of response to the issue.

According to him, the sum of N470,000 was stolen from his account.

Henry claimed that the commercial bank informed him that nothing could be done to recover the stolen funds.

“I regret ever opening an account in UBA bank. The money that was stolen from my account, UBA bank said that they can’t do anything about that,” he tweeted, tagging both UBA and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Henry did not provide specific details about how the money was stolen.

However, as of the time of filing this report, UBA is yet to publicly respond to the accusations, and it remains unclear what steps, if any, will be taken to resolve the matter.
