‘I realized I’d to raise the child alone halfway through my first pregnancy’ – Olamide’s baby mama, Maria recounts
Maria Okanrende, the baby mama of Nigerian singer and rap artist, Olamide has recounted how she realized that she was going to raise her now two years old daughter alone without the singer.
The UK-based ex-actress Maria, while celebrating her employment at the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC in the United Kingdom, took to her Instagram page to note that she had come to terms with the fact that her young daughter, Monife, would not be raised with her father and singer, Olamide.
“This is the story of a lady who relocated to the UK from Nigeria pregnant with her first child. Halfway through her pregnancy she realised she would have to raise the child alone. After having her daughter, she started her career from the scratch in the United Kingdom. She is now a presenter and producer of the first-ever “Afrobeats Roundup with Maria” on BBC 1Xtra.”
Okan’s pregnancy broke the internet back in 2019 when Maria indirectly called out Olamide Baddo, for abandoning her and their baby girl. The revelation came after a fan of hers professed his undying love and wished he was the baby daddy and not the popular musician, Olamide.
The baby girl christened Asaiah Monifé Maria, was welcomed on August 16, 2020.

However, the love affair began to fade when Maria discovered that the YBNL boss was still with his baby mama and long-time partner.
According to reports, the actress moved out of the country while she was pregnant.
