“I need to sue this guy” — Iyabo Ojo reacts as fan recreates her $50,000 AMVCA outfit (Video)
Veteran actress Iyabo Ojo, also known as Queen Mother, has expressed her disappointment and pain after a fan mimicked her expensive and extravagant appearance at the recent Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2023 event.
The star-studded event, held at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, saw the presence of numerous celebrities from various industries.
Iyabo Ojo’s stunning look at the event caught the attention of many, but it was marred by a fan who creates humorous content about celebrities’ appearances.
The fan attempted to recreate Iyabo Ojo’s look in an unattractive manner, causing frustration for the actress.
In a disclosure about the cost of her attire, Iyabo Ojo revealed that she had spent a whopping $50,000, approximately N37.5 million in Nigerian currency, on her eye-catching outfit.
The dress was meticulously crafted by renowned celebrity stylist Toyin Lawani, adding to its exclusivity and high price tag.
Upon discovering the fan’s imitation of her appearance, Iyabo Ojo took a humorous stance but also expressed her displeasure.
She jokingly threatened to involve her lawyers and take the fan to court for recreating her look in an unflattering manner.
“Please, i need an Idan lawyer, who has Oba lawyers number, i need to sue this guy……… nobody should beg me oooo, we shall meet in court ………. my $50,000 💵 dress, no wayyyyyy,” she wrote.
