"I hope whoever that was is doing well" — Tekno

Afrobeat sensation Tekno has silenced the swirling rumors of his death with a calm yet reassuring message to his fans. The artist took to Instagram to debunk a viral video that falsely claimed he had collapsed and died in South Africa.

The video, which shows an unidentified man collapsing at an event, sparked panic among fans when sources incorrectly identified the person as Tekno. However, the singer quickly set the record straight, confirming that he is not only alive but also nowhere near South Africa.

Tekno posted a picture of himself alongside a message that read, “Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not currently in South Africa. I hope whoever that was in the video is doing well and ok. Thank you guys. Love you.”

The musician’s reassuring words have since been met with an outpouring of relief and support from fans, who were quick to express their joy at the news.

Interestingly, the rumor mill didn’t stop there. Another twist emerged, suggesting that the person in the video might actually be Kenyan artist Prezzo, who allegedly collapsed at the Bahatis’ premiere.

In an era where misinformation spreads like wildfire, Tekno’s swift response serves as a reminder to verify before amplifying—especially when it comes to matters of life and death.
