I had only two shirts and one trousers – Zlatan Ibile goes down memory lane
Popular Nigerian rapper and singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has talked about his past life events before attaining fame.
During an interview with British media personality and DJ Tin Westwood, Zlatan Ibile reflected on his past struggles and how he had only two shirts and one pair of trousers.
He also spoke about the event when he got a car prize after he won Airtel One Mic Talent Show during his undergraduate days at the age of 19.
According to him, before he won the talent show, nobody talked to or noticed him because he wore only two shirts and one pair of trousers he often interchanged with.
But all that changed after getting the car, ladies started to flock around him, and his popularity grew.
According to him, when his parents, who happen to be Pastors, heard about his achievement, they started supporting him on his music career path.
He also said that though he received a car, there was no cash prize, so he resorted to using the branded car to run a taxi business.
