I Fear Liverpool More Than Arsenal at The Top—Guardiola

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola wouldn’t openly admit it to the public on his true feelings of the title race, but for the Spaniard, he knows he has already a grip on the Premier League title considering he keeps talking about Liverpool being a genuine threat as opposed to League leaders, Arsenal.

It is a sentiment that the manager has continually echoed even to the extent, he mentions Arsenal as a last option obviously due to political correctness on his part to acknowledge the opposition.

For a lot of people, the former Barcelona boss is right as a lot of EPL fans consider the Gunners more as place holders for Manchester City before the full season begins just as they’ve done in prior seasons.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, claimed that seven clubs are competing for the Premier League championship.

The table-toppers, Arsenal, are presently two points ahead of the champs going into this weekend’s games.

Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are not off the table, though, according to Guardiola.

Guardiola insisted Liverpool can continue their winning streak despite being 15 points behind Arsenal.

“In the past, the same manager and same squad were able to make 17 victories in a row, 18 victories in a row many times,” he said ahead of Saturday’s clash with Fulham.

“In these last few years, many times they have done it, why could they not do it again?

“Nobody knows what will happen after the World Cup, in the transfer window and how players will come back.

“The first candidate right now is Arsenal. Why? They are top of the league. The gap to the rest is close,” Guardiola said.
