I don’t want anyone Trolling Man United—Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp may be the manager of Liverpool but definitely, the German does not take it lightly with anyone who trolls Man United ahead of their fixture on Monday.

The Liverpool manager in his press conference earlier this morning, told the press that he had a problem with the narratives driven about the Old Trafford club and how they were being exaggerated.

The German specifically called out former Aston Villa star, Gabby Agbonhalor while speaking to reporters at the Liverpool training center on Friday.

Jurgen Klopp’s comments came in response to the former Villa man’s comments bantering Man United after their crushing defeat last Saturday to Brentford.

The manager who coached the team that beat Aston Villa 6-0 in his earlier days at Anfield, reminded Gabby Agbonhalor that he participated in the grumbling defeat, and in that match, he didn’t see Agbonhalor exhibit the same mentality for which he trolls Man United for.

On a phone-in, Agbonhalor ripped into United for their display at Brentford, saying Erik ten Hag’s side played “like strangers on the pitch”.

“I listened to Gabby Agbonlahor, he lost against us 6-0 in my first year, I couldn’t remember him as a mentality monster on the pitch.” Jurgen Klopp trolled.

The Liverpool manager went on to reveal he was minutes away from phoning in on the channel to confront Gabby Agbonhalor against trolling his rivals but had to stop.

Instead, the former Borussia Dortmund boss feels more credit should be given to Brentford and less slander on Man United considering Brentford were being disrespected with the constant jabbing at United.

“We forget in these moments how good Brentford is. It was that bad, I watched the first half here then I drove home and coincidentally listened to talkSPORT – Gabby [Agbonhalor] – he lost against us 6-0 when I had my first year. I couldn’t remember him as a mentality monster on the pitch.

“What he said about United on that show, I was close to calling in. I was close to calling in and telling him that you have completely forget that you have been player. It was unbelievable.

“And if ex players go already like this, then you can imagine how everything else is going. You just have to ask yourself how you would want to react in a situation like this and of course [it is] to fight back.”

Jurgen Klopp was referencing a certain fixture that happened in February 2016 in which Daniel Sturridge, James Milner, Emre Can, Divock Origi, Nathaniel Clyne and Kolo Toure struck the back of the net.
