“I don’t know how long it will take” — Ruben Amorim
New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has wasted no time in setting his sights high, declaring his ambition to deliver the Premier League title to Old Trafford.
The 39-year-old, who replaced Erik ten Hag during the November international break, is already dreaming big despite United’s rocky start under his tenure.
On Thursday night, Amorim’s side suffered a crushing 4-3 defeat to Tottenham, ending their Carabao Cup campaign. Yet, the Portuguese tactician insists his vision extends far beyond the domestic cup competitions.
“We can’t think winning silverware will fix everything,” Ruben Amorim said in his post-match press conference. “We are improving as a team. Our goal is to win the Premier League. How long it will take, I don’t know.”
