Popular Afrobeat singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun has disclosed a dreadful event that happened at one of his shows.

During an interview with TV host, Ehiz on Dadaboy show, Mayorkun revealed that he was informed that someone had died backstage while he was performing for his fans.

Although not disclosing where it happened and when it occurred, the former DMW artist noted that it was the worst incident that has happened during any of his shows.

According to the singer, he immediately stopped performing and went backstage to confirm the report for himself.

However, Mayorkun revealed that the individual who was involved in a brawl backstage didn’t actually die as informed, but lost consciousness and collapsed.

The ‘Betty butter’ crooner noted that he lost the zeal to continue performing because of the sad news of the supposed death until he had reassuring words from OAP Dotun, who made him realize that the person was not dead.

He went on to continue the show after Dotun told him that the guy fainted.

‘‘Someone told me that someone just died backstage. When I heard that thing I just dropped the mic and I was going backstage”, he said.
