Controversial Singer Portable Granted Bail by Ogun State Magistrate Court

After spending several days in police custody, controversial Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been granted bail by an Ogun State Magistrate’s Court in Ifo.

Portable was charged with six counts of assault and stealing after allegedly inflicting physical injury on Inspector Hammed Moshood, and resisting arrest by police officers in January 2023. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.

During the court proceedings on Monday, Portable was granted a bailable bond of N800,000, and was subsequently released from police custody. He was seen leaving the station in a car with friends and family who had come to pick him up after meeting the bail terms.

Upon his release, the controversial musician bragged about the supernatural grace he carries, stating that he cannot be disgraced because of it.

Portable’s case has garnered significant attention, particularly on social media, with many people expressing diverse views on the matter.

It remains to be seen how the case will play out in the coming days, but for now, Portable is free on bail pending his next court appearance
