I begged a 300L law student to review my record deal contract – Bella Shmurda reveals
Popular Nigerian singer, Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed best known as Bella Shmurda has revealed how he pleaded with a law student to help review the contract for his first record deal.
The singer, Bella Shmurda revealed that when he was a student, he reached out to the law student said to be in his third year, to review his contract with One World Global Records, but he never realized the student was clueless about how to handle the matter.
During his school days, Bella was formerly signed to One World Global Records.
The singer narrated this during a chat with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Channels TV’s Rubbin Minds programme.
According to the CashApp crooner, he was a student who could not afford a lawyer, them he had to meet the 300-level student.
Speaking further, Bella Shmurda revealed that he used to smoke weed with the guy in school and often saw him dressed in the official black and white outfit for law students, so it was based on that relationship that he called him.
Bella, who now owns his label, Dagbana Republik advised upcoming artistes to always read through whatever contract that’s given to them by any music record.
